1.) Perhaps the most romantic room in Flagstaff is located at the Inn at 410 Bed and Breakfast. Monet’s Garden is a dreamy Jacuzzi suite impressionistic of a French country garden. King-size bed, comfy loveseat next to the fireplace, ample Jacuzzi tub for two and walk-in shower for two will make this a memorable stay. Your private porch overlooks the quiet garden patio. An owner’s favorite, it is decorated with a mural that pulls you down a path of tender remembrances.
The three-course award-winning breakfast includes freshly blended juices, smoothies, and bold coffees. On our visit, breakfast started with strawberry smoothies. Next raspberry strudel muffins accompanied a Gruyere-cheese frittata. “Yesterday we served lemon ricotta pancakes with real maple syrup, of course,” says owner Gordon Watkins who rotates the menu every eight days. |

2.) The Radisson Woodlands Hotel Flagstaff offers two luxury suites, our favorite being the Executive Suite. Pocket doors separate the romantic suite into two rooms. A powder room is off the amorous sitting room and a huge bath with romantic Jacuzzi tub is off the Pacific-Rim designed bedroom. The hotel is decorated with Indonesian wedding doors and other Asian antiques. No need to leave the hotel for dinner – Sakura Sushi & Teppanyaki Restaurant has been voted one of the “Best Restaurants of the Southwest” by Food and Wine Magazine. |

3.) The marble fireplace framed by two-story high floor-to-ceiling windows in the Governor’s Suite will stir the heart on your romantic retreat. The impressive two-story suite at Little America Hotel Flagstaff offers views of the forest, an elegant living room, two 31” flat panel televisions and two marble bathrooms and a dry-heat sauna. Imagine breakfast in bed (delivered by room service) in these upscale rooms decorated with European elegance. |
