The Flagstaff Urban Trails System (FUTS, say "foots") is a city-wide network of non-motorized pathways shared by bicyclists, walkers, hikers and runners for both recreation and transportation.
Trails lead right past many Flagstaff hotels and connect visitors with an incredibly diverse range of experiences. Some trails are located along historic downtown Flagstaff streets, while others traverse beautiful natural places – canyons, riparian areas, grasslands, meadows, and forests – all within the urban area of Flagstaff. The system connects shopping, restaurants, parks, open space and the surrounding Coconino National Forest.
The 50-plus mile long trail system offers something for everyone: paved pathways, dirt single-track and wheelchair accessible routes. The FUTS map rates the grade of the trail and estimates the length of time it will take to walk or bike.
